Use case

For every new contractor or director who joins your company, you'll need to onboard them onto your portal so they're part of your HRIS. You can use this process for:

  • International employees not on UK payroll

  • Contractors and temporary workers

New joiners and payroll

When you onboard a new joiner and are adding them to payroll, there's a couple of things you'll need to keep in mind:

  1. If you're onboarding a new joiner the same month as their start date, finalise their onboarding before you submit payroll for the month. Non-finalised accounts will block you from submitting payroll.

  2. If you've already submitted payroll for the month and need to add a new joiner who is starting this month, get in touch with us at [email protected].

  3. Same goes if you need to add a new joiner whose start date is last month - get in touch with us.

How to onboard an new joiner not on payroll

1. Follow steps 1 and 2, and select "invite someone (not on payroll)".

2. For new joiners who are not going to be on UK payroll, you won't need as much information: mostly their legal name, job title and start date.

3. Fill out the information on the screen - if anything changes after you've onboarded them, you'll be able to edit it within their employee profile.

4. Once you're done, click "Invite to join the team" βœ…. This will send the new joiner an onboarding email so they can finalise setting up their account.
