Legislation specifies how you can adjust an employee’s director status during the tax year:

• You can change an employee from a Non-Director to any type of director.

• You can switch a Director (on the alternate method) to a Director (on the standard method).

However, you cannot:

• Change a Director (on an standard method) to a Director (on the alternate method) during the tax year.

• Revert any type of director to a Non-Director within the same tax year.

If you'd like to update an employee to become a Director mid-tax year, please contact support, giving their appointment date.
